Overview
Distribution and back-of-house storage lives or dies on one thing: whether the room actually holds temperature when the doors open and the stock goes in. That comes down to matching the panels, evaporator and condensing unit as a single system.
Where it is used
A freezer running on chiller panels
Panel thickness is selected against room temperature and ambient. Specifying a freezer on chiller panels is the single most common reason a room cannot hold −18 °C.
Discounted doors and blocked drains
Freezer rooms get heated door frames and heated drains, which stops the icing that otherwise snaps doors and blocks condensate lines.
Rooms that will not fit the access route
Panels are cut to pass through the smallest opening on the way in, so a room can be built into a site where a fixed box cannot be delivered.
